My name is Elisabeth Marie Anne-Laure Zee, but most people just know me as Ellie M. Zee :) (unless you’re my parents lol). I am a half French, half Singaporean third culture kid, born and living in the states! More specifically, Boston is where I’ve come to call home. Complicated — I know. In fact, the question “Where are you from?” has always been a difficult one for me to answer, and yet, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

To explain, my mother is French and my father is Singaporean. They met studying/working abroad here in the U.S., and so here we are fast forward all these years later!

Coming from such a diverse background, my upbringing consisted of us moving somewhere new every couple of years; both domestically and internationally, leading me to a lifetime of adventures and travel. Between the multiple languages being spoken around the house and the various, very different foods you could find in my fridge, it’s safe to say that I did not grow up like most people. From a very early age, I was exposed to cultural differences as being the norm; as being beautiful and amazing. Unlike most people who see their home and identity as one, I’ve always seen myself as a citizen of the world. Today, my unique perspective of the world has become a core part of who I am, as well as a driving factor behind my artwork and creative process.

I graduated university having majored in Media Communications and Psychology. I then put my passions for travel, food, culture, design and photography, as well as my knowledge of the digital space, together to create what my craft is today. Having worked in publishing and media marketing for a number of years before launching my own business, I am well versed in the campaign process from the beginning stages (content creating), to the final stages (promoting and analyzing data).

My focus as a travel and lifestyle content creator is to simply capture the already existing beauty in a moment or space, so that its essence may be manifested and felt through a photo. I aim to create authentic, not overly curated, simple, yet elegant content that aligns with a brand’s imagery. Today my goal is to connect with like-minded people and businesses who share my perspective; to foster long-term partnerships and and work together to achieve their artistic visions.
