Casa Monica Resort & Spa and St. Augustine as a whole has truly been one of our favorite vacations to date! And…not just because we experienced it with great friends, but because this city and hotel are truly a couple of hidden gems!
Not only did we have some of the greatest food experiences, but the city’s stunning architecture had us feeling like we landed in Europe. Cobblestone streets, loads of cute shops, restaurants & live music bars…a pirates convention? Yup lol, that happened. The entire city was flooded with people dressed up as pirates! It honestly added a pretty fun, interactive element to the trip! ;)
Anyway, the city is a short 2 hour flight from Boston, is right on the water with perfect weather and loaded with history. Casa Monica Resort & Spa is in the heart of the city and within walking distance from everything! Both the hotel restaurant and staff are incredible. Actually, the hotel restaurant Costa Brava was by far one of our favorite dining experiences there (and that says a LOT since all the food we had was absolutely incredible). If you’re a foodie like us, this city is for YOU. At Costa Brava, our table favorites were the croquettas (we kept ordering more and more and ended up with a count of 8 orders lol), the octopus and the prawn. There are seriously no words to describe how delicious everything was!
Being guests at Casa Monica Resort & Spa, we had full access to the Serenata Beach Club, which features two pools (1 family, 1 adults only), waterfalls, the yummiest food & bar service extending both indoor and outdoor, super easy access to the beach, towels & chairs are all provided…and Casa Monica Resort & Spa provides a shuttle service there & back! Incredible is an understatement. 🙌🏻👏🏻
On another note, our hotel concierge Charlene (shoutout Charlene!❤️), personally picked the boys up from a golf course 30 mins away when all their Ubers fell through. Safe to say that was definitely not a part of her job description lol, but Charlene literally saved the day!
I rarely ever say I’d go back somewhere. My perspective is that there are so many beautiful places to visit on this magical earth of ours, that I would really have to LOVE a place, to go back before exploring somewhere new. Places I plan on going back to so far: Costa Rica (and I’ve been there twice already), Iceland, Cambodia, and St. Augustine. See you next time! 😜💛 #casamonicaresortandspa #kesslercollection
